We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today we read Genesis chapter 26 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapter 9:16-38 from the New Testament.
In Genesis chapter 26, God renews His covenant with Isaac. We learn that God renews His promises.
God promised Abraham and now He renews it with Isaac. Isaac goes through a similar time of testing like his father, Abraham. Isaac called his wife, his sister. This is a generational thing that was repeated. We emphasize on the renewal of the covenant. In Matthew chapter 9:16-38, when Jesus saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them.
Jesus is the good shepherd. The Shepherd who cares for lost sheep. We are the sheep of our Lord Jesus. In Psalm 23, we proclaim that the Lord is our Shepherd.
In the Old Testament, God made the covenant with Abraham and renewed it with Isaac and walked with them to fulfill the promises. God has chosen us to be His sheep. It is written that the good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. He leads His sheep to green pastures. The Lord provides for us. We can hold on to these covenant promises that God has given us through Jesus. It is wonderful to live within the promises of God. All those who have committed their lives to the Lord have covenant blessings on them.
Father God, we thank You and praise You. You never forget us, Lord. Lord, You never forgot Isaac and renewed Your promises. Lord, You are the chief Shepherd and You will never leave the sheep to go astray. We commit our lives in Your hands. Lord, You fulfill all that You have promised to Your children.

We commit everything into Your hands.
