Daily Inspirations by Abraham Sekhar Day 19

We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today we read Genesis chapters 41, 42, and 43 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapter 14:22-36 from the New testament. In Genesis chapter 41, Pharoah had seen two dreams. He wanted the interpretation of those dreams, but no one could interpret them for Pharaoh except Joseph. Pharaoh sent and called Joseph when the chief butler told Pharaoh about the way Joseph interpreted his and the chief baker’s dreams for them when they were in prison. So, Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams. Joseph had the wisdom and favor of God with him. He was a dreamer and had already interpreted the dreams of the chief butler and the chief baker. God’s hand was upon Joseph, and so only Joseph could interpret Pharaoh’s dreams. Joseph was called for a greater purpose. God made a way for Joseph even from prison. The wisdom of God enables us to understand the things that happen in our lives and the lives of others. Joseph exalted the name of God and was promoted to the highest level, the level of a president or prime minister. Joseph relied on God and His wisdom. In Matthew 14:22-36, Jesus went to the disciples, walking on the sea. Peter walked on the water to go to Jesus, but when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid and was beginning to sink, but Jesus stretched out His hand and caught Peter. From this, we learn that God will surely lift us up. Hold on to His promises and put your trust in Him. Father, we thank You and praise You. Bless us with wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment. May we hold on to Your promises and be blessed. Lead us and guide us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
