We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today we read Genesis chapters 44, 45, and 46 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapter 15:1-20 from the New Testament. In Genesis chapters 44, 45, and 46, Joseph’s brothers go to the land of Egypt for food. Joseph provides his brothers with food during the time of famine. And finally, we see that Joseph sends his brothers to bring Jacob, their father to Egypt. God renews His promise with Jacob in Genesis 46:3-4. The promise was also renewed for Abraham and Isaac. In Matthew 15:22-28, a woman comes to Jesus and pleads before Jesus to heal her daughter because her daughter was demon-possessed. The woman kept pleading and finally passed the test. Jesus healed her daughter and called her a woman of great faith. Holding on to faith is very important. The promise was renewed to Jacob so, he was not shaken and went to Egypt. The woman also wasn’t shaken until she received what she wanted. We need to hold on to God’s promises without wavering. Faith in God will definitely reward us. Father God, we thank You and praise You. Father help us to confidently ask You. Help us to hold on to Your promises and have faith in You. Bless us all. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
