We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today we read Exodus chapters 4, 5, and 6 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapter 17 from the New Testament. God appeared to Moses in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush and chose Moses to go back to Egypt, to Pharaoh that he may bring His people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. In Exodus chapters 4, 5, and 6, Moses returned to Egypt and met his brother, Aaron. God gave Moses signs to perform. Moses and Aaron had told Pharaoh to let the children of Israel go but instead, Pharaoh increased the labor on the people of Israel. We must understand that it is not always easy to learn or to achieve something. Sometimes we have to go through the way of suffering and the way of aligning ourselves properly. In Matthew chapter 17, Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up on a high mountain, and Jesus was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as bright as light. Peter, James, and John saw Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus. This was a sign for them, a revelation. God will give you a sign so that you may fulfill your call. Jesus told Peter, James, and John that He would be betrayed into the hands of men. He commanded them to not tell anyone about the vision until the Son of Man is raised from the dead. So, suffering follows signs, and after suffering, victory follows. Father God, we thank You and praise You. Thank You for helping us understand the meaning and truth in these passages. Help us to walk in our calling that we may see its fulfillment. In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen.
