Daily Inspirations by Abraham Sekhar Day 25

We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today we read Exodus chapters 10, 11, and 12 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapters 19 and 20 from the New Testament. Exodus chapter 10 is the account of the plagues of locusts and darkness. These signs were done to show Pharaoh that the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob is the living God, the God who is high above all things. Exodus chapter 11 is the account of God’s warning of Egypt’s firstborn. This was the last plague wherein all the firstborn in the land of Egypt would die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh on the throne to the firstborn of the female servant behind the handmill, and all the firstborn of the animals. In Exodus chapter 12, God established the Passover. God spoke to Moses and Aaron and told them to speak to the congregation of Israel to take a lamb without blemish, a male of the first year and that they kill it at twilight and take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they ate. Salvation came by the Passover sacrifice. The children of Israel walked out of Egypt and were delivered. In Matthew chapter 20, Christ foretells His sufferings. Going up to Jerusalem, Jesus predicts His suffering, crucifixion, death, and resurrection. He reveals that He would be the Passover Lamb. Jesus is our Passover Lamb. Jesus died on the cross for us and shed His blood for the remission of sins. Father God, we thank You and praise You. We surrender ourselves to You. Lord Jesus, we thank You for You became our Passover Lamb. Thank You for Your blood that was shed for the remission of our sins. Thank You for the eternal life that You have given us. In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen.
