We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today we read Exodus chapters 18-24 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapter 24 from the New Testament. In Exodus chapter 18, Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, met Moses and gave Moses some advice. In chapters 19 and 20, on Mount Sinai, The Ten Commandments was received. In chapters 21, 22, and 23, different laws concerning justice and mercy were given. In chapter 24, God called Moses up to the mountain. The glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai. Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. Moses was on the mountain for forty days and forty nights. The presence of God was moving amongst the people of Israel, but the people of Israel could not recognize the power of God, and they could not put their trust in Him completely. In Matthew chapter 24, the disciples asked Jesus about the sign of His coming and the end of the age. Jesus told his disciples that the Son of Man would come on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory along with His angels. Let us be filled with the Holy Spirit and let us be sensitive to what God is speaking to the church. We need to prepare ourselves for His return, and we need to obey the Word of God. Father God, we thank You and praise You. We commit ourselves to You. May we be humble and, may we obey Your Word. Help us not take things lightly. May Your kingdom come and may Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
