Daily Inspirations by Abraham Sekhar Day 3

We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today, we read Genesis
chapters 6, 7, and 8 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapter 3 from the New Testament. We find similarities in comparing these chapters.
In Genesis chapter 6, a command or an order was given to Noah to build an ark. This command was given to Noah because God decided to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy everything. The wickedness of man was great in the earth. Nobody found grace in the sight of God except Noah. Noah being a righteous man, believed in God and built the ark in obedience. Noah and his family, and two of every sort, male and female, of every living thing of all flesh, entered the ark and were saved from the destruction of the flood.
In Matthew chapter 3, Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him because John felt that he needed to be baptized by Jesus. But Jesus told him to permit it for it was fitting for them to fulfill all righteousness.
From this, we learn that in obedience there is good fruit. Noah obeyed, and he and his family were
saved. Jesus obeyed and by His finished work on the cross, we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins through His blood. Obeying the Word of God helps us lead a victorious and free life in Jesus.

Father God, we thank You. Father, Your Word says that obedience is better than sacrifice. So, help us to be obedient children. We thank You and praise You. Bless us this day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
