We welcome you to the Daily Inspirations Program by Abraham Sekhar. Today we read Genesis chapters 12, 13, and 14 from the Old Testament and Matthew chapter 5 from the New Testament. A significant thing is noticed in comparing these passages.
In Genesis 12, 13, and 14, God blessed Abraham and his descendants, and also promised to keep His covenant with him. ‘Blessed’ is the keyword here.
In Matthew chapter 5, Jesus talks about the blessed people. God desires to bless His people and by responding to His call, we receive blessings. We need to read God’s Word and obey His commandments.
Blessings are assured when we walk according to His Word. God gives us a choice to follow Him. When we repent and accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, the promises of blessings will follow and we will see the fulfillment of blessings in our lives and be blessed.

Father, we thank You and praise You for this day. As we read Your Word, we understand Your great
plans for us. We thank You for choosing us to follow You. Continue to give us grace. Father, please open the hearts of those who do not know You that they may receive You and follow You. May they read Your Word and obey Your commandments and be blessed.
